I nearly finished my 1.Playthrough and now i am curios how many possibilities i missed to raise the Power&Wealth of my Clan.
If you found something i missed please post it :)

Ways i found to gain Power
Alliance with Mercia
Alliance with Dhun Pris
Inviting the Cult of Romulus/Remus to Orkneyar
Getting the Support of the Koenung
Freeing the 2 Slaves in Perth and send them to Orkneyar

Ways i found to gain Waelth
Making a Sacrifice at Ribe's Tenple
"Open Harbor" in Perth and York
Freeing the 2 Slaves in Perth and let them live as craftsman
Alliance 1.Stage with the Picts and/or Northumbria
Fully upgrade your village. Choose one (power or wealth) branch and stick to it. Start as soon as you can, while you are still doing quests in your homeland. Do NOT wait until you get to Britain. A good tip for getting wood is to have efficient scouts during camping.

Anybody you get the chance to 'send' somewhere, send them to Orkneyar to gain power or your village to gain wealth.

Specifically for wealth, regularly travel home and give your mother earned money (in lots of 10,000); don't squander money; do it again, and again, and again. Shouldn't have any trouble getting past 100 with fully wealth-oriented village upgrades.

I've managed to get to around 110+ power and over 100 wealth by upgrading ALMOST everything in my village for power, with the exception of the market upgrade (wealth upgrade choice). Once the market is fully upgraded, you get three traders in your home base that covers everything you could want, and their prices are dependent on your wealth rating. This makes it even easier to get the lots of 10K "donations" to your mother to get wealth up to (or beyond) 100. Also, one of these traders provides thralls (either the first or second upgrade), and you can get that one before the other slave handler arrives in Orkney.

As for other ways to gain power, I believe you get a chunk for defeating the guy leading Orkneyjar (so you can take it over), and if you give him extra rations you get a few bonus power points for that (max benefit at 150 rations, I think it's two extra points for that?).

If you get the money back for the craftsmen at the back of the Romulus cult compound, you can invite them to Orkneyjar, which gives you either a bit of power or wealth (can't recall which exactly).

Last time I played (1.04), I thought that sending the Viking craftsmen (those you find tied to poles in Perth) to Orkneyjar actually increased wealth and not power (i.e. the same as sending them to Skjern). Has that changed in 1.05?

...i did not mention the Buildings because you can't miss them.

I had Quests, Event's and stuff like this in mind.

I found another Way to increase wealth, if you search&return the slaves for the slavetrader at Orkneyar you can make a "Slavetrade-deal" for your village.

@Squid830 I sent them home but i was told to send them as craftsman to skern or as reinforcement to Orkeyjar, so i thought it would raise power.

Orkneyar is your military stronghold outpost. It's all about building an army. It has nothing to do with wealth -- it's a barren cesspit. Wealth is built back at home.

Yes that's what I thought - I figured that's why there was the choice: Skjern = wealth, Orkney = power. So on my second (or third?) playthrough I payed closer attention, and found out it increased wealth and not power like I thought.

I agree, and this is why I remembered the craftsmen adding to wealth - Orkney is like a forward base for a future invasion, most times when you send someone to Orkney you get power, so the fact that these guys added to wealth instead stood out when I actually looked to see how much power they got me (and they got me wealth instead). Especially since then it makes no difference (mechanically/gameplay-wise) where you send them).

This is also the reason I asked if it was still like this in 1.0.5, because it wouldn't surprise me if this was unintended and/or will change at some point.

Oh yes, forgot about that one! Although it's disappointing (in 1.0.4 anyway) that didn't actually lower her prices afterwards even though she said she would... Didn't bother me overly much since I wasn't exactly strapped for cash at that point, but it seems like an oversight/bug...
