Why did you join the Games in Development program on GOG?
Exanima is an important first step in our ambitious quest to create a new kind of RPG. We are a passionate independent developer who works closely with the community to deliver the best game we can without compromising our own vision. We are doing this thanks to crowd-funding and having reached the point where we have a playable and polished game, GiD seems like a natural evolution.

Approximately how long will this game be in the GOG's Games in Development program?
Exanima introduces many novel concepts and gameplay mechanics, we work very closely with the community, take all feedback on board and strive to make it the best it can be. The game has grown hugely in scope from our original plans and we are committed to quality and player satisfaction over a fixed deadline.

What do you plan to change during development?
Exanima has already changed substantially from its initial release, but only in terms of quality and quantity. Our goal now is to complete the extended content and plotline and to add gameplay features. This will not only extend the game, but provide a more complete and rich experience throughout.

What is the current state of your game?
After a successful Kickstarter campaign we have been developing the core game with the support and feedback of an amazing, passionate community. Exanima already has a substantial playerbase and our focus has been on quality. It is absolutely playable, stable and highly optimised. While we have much more work ahead of us it already offers a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Will the price change on release day?
The current price is set at a point we think is fair for the game as it is now and respresents great value if you consider the features, content and polish that we intend to add. The release price may increase to reflect a more substantial and complete product. We will never charge for DLC or introduce any kind of RMT.

How can the community participate in the development process?
Exanima is part of a crowd funded project and as such community feedback has already played a significant role in its development. This is set to continue, both through existing channels and here where we will actively engage the community. We will respond to bug reports, discuss ideas, take onboard constructive criticism, incorporate well thought out suggestions and prioritise our goals based on their input.

So, what's the expected "fixed deadline"?

So how come the game is in Development here on GOG, but it's claiming to be fully developed on Steam?

It does not. The game is still in Early Access on Steam.
Just to make sure I'm understanding this right, when the game is complete, will people who pay the 'in development' price have to pay more? Or will the current 'in dev' price allow access to the full game, once completed?

People who buy Exanima now (while it is in development) will not have to pay more for Exanima when it is finished. Buying the game now entitles you to the early builds and also the finished product.

Thank you!
Love the game, thank you!
So basically there is no deadline...
