Max out resolution & detail settings, turn off vsync in drivers (makes it a lot smoother) and force AA, and it's really quite attractive. Too bad there's no way to extend view distance.

Also, there a widescreen registry fix.

edit :
this game was released at year 2000. To make it widescreen open regedit and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Computer Artworks/Evolva/1.0

on the right, change "DisplayModeHeight" and "DisplayModeWidth" as you desire.
I don't see those options in the registry .

Well, I was on an XP machine when I did that, and perhaps the installer changed since then. Is the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Computer Artworks/Evolva" there?

Yes , it's here in the registry . ( Windows 7 x64 )

Have you run the game yet and tried to change resolution inside? Maybe those properties get created at that time?

Otherwise, if there's a 1.0 in there as well, might be worth trying to create DisplayModeHeight and DisplayModeWidth properties in there. Not sure what the types would be - DWORD or something perhaps. Maybe same types as other properties nearby.

Of course, be sure to always back up your registry before messing around in it :)
