I find them kind of pathetic. They sit there spawning bots and regenerating armor. Their defense turrets could be a bit better. Maybe give them more turrets.
Give them ability to move and fight you. I get that they're slow because of their size. But when I fight them they don't move at all.
Even though I'm not that far into the game I already miss the corvettes.
I killed a destroyer in a high-risk area that didn't explode. It was floating there dead. I could shoot the turrets and they would still regenerate and not shoot back. Shooting the hull did nothing.

The movement of destroyer will probalby see some changes, making it more maneuverable and dangerous.

Don't kill them immediately - they start to move and fly around after some time ;)

I find that when I am moving towards a destroyer, it tries to leave range instead of fight back. I don't see a challenge in them.
