Not a big fan of the floating reticle when using the Mouse & Keyboard controls... Is there some option to lock it to the center of the screen like when using a controller?

Nope, there's no option for this in the game as far as I can see.

I have posted a request for this on the developer forums because it opens up avenues for mouse emulation on other devices and they have indicated they will look into it.

Did this ever get fixed? I feel the game is unplayable if the ship is not directly coupled to mouse movement. Thanks.
EDIT: Found it.
Options> Controls > Keyboard + Mouse > Centered Crosshair
This is the equivalent of X3 Terran Conflict's "Classic Flight Mode"
