I read somewhere that EU3 on GoG will not run the in game achievements. Is this true?

I haven't see any "achievement unlocked" popup during play, even though, looking at [url=http://www.paradoxian.org/eu3wiki/Achievements]wiki, I should have triggered several.

No, so that may be the explanation. I'm not interested in using Galaxy, and likewise when I play one of my Steam-exclusive games (why aren't the Civ games on GOG?) I keep it in offline mode and that also seems to prevent achievements from being registered.

Ultimately I don't care much about these achievements, really, so it doesn't bother me.

I'd normally feel the same, but EU3 by itself feels a little goal-less so I'd like the achievements just to keep it interesting.

Would love some feedback on my question from anyone working for GOG. There's a potential 20 bucks in it for you :)

Using Galaxy, here, and EU III achievements don't seem to be working, unless there's in-game ones. Galaxy doesn't register any achievents for the game, unlike what it does for games with compatible achievements. Uploading two screenshots, one of a game with compatible Galaxy achievements, the other of EU III with no compatible ones.

I don't really have a dog in this fight. But if you think this is something that should be working, then you should report it to GOG support.

EU3 achievements were locked to the Paradox's own online service, which was discontinuated very long time ago. AFAIK, these achievements are not working on Steam version of the game as well.
