Hi Taverngoers,
Although we have worked hard to deliver a quality, bug-free experience, a game of Epic Tavern's magnitude will have bugs, from time to time. Although we try to find those bugs internally, we are bound to miss the ones that you, our audience, will encounter while playing the game. To that end, we have set up these sub-forums to that you have share these bugs with our QA team, who will then share them with the development team. I few key pointers when writing bugs:
Be as descriptive as possible - The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to track down issues!
Attach logs where applicable - Log files help provide additional information, especially for crashes or progression blockers!
Without further ado, here is the general template that we prefer:
- Build version - You can find this information in the upper left-hand corner of the main menu.
- Description - A general summary of the bug.
- Steps to Reproduce - What did you do to get the bug? Provide any steps here to make it easier for us to validate the bug internally!
- Reproducability - How often did you encounter the bug?
- System information - WHat kind of machine are you running? We are working hard to ensure that the game is compatible with a low of min/max spec systems, but it would be great to know if your specific hardware is the cause! To find system specs, follow these steps: In Windows, use the Windows+R combo to bring up the Run prompt, Type in "msinfo32", Go to "File", Select "Export", Attach the exported .txt file to your bug.
- Screenshots and Videos - These are important for art issues, but screenshots and videos are always helpful in visually communicating specific issues!
- Output log: This PC > Local Disk > Users > [Your ID] > Taskbar, View > Make sure 'Hidden Items' is checked > AppData > LocalLow > Hyperkinetic Studios > Epic Tavern > output_log
That seems to cover our general guideline and tips for bugs. As always, feel free to let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
From everyone here at the Tavern,
CHEERS!
