Good morning
I assume that the Linux version is planned as for the other Gentlymad games.
But I can’t find any information on that.
Could you confirm that "Endzone - A World Apart" will have a Linux version.
Thank you

Bravo for the quality of the games you produce,
And thank you for your availability for reply on GOG.
Not being a Steam customer, I greatly appreciate the answers you have already provided here.

Hi LinuxFire,

aprreciate your kind words, thank you. And thanks for your interest in Endzone! As of yet, there are no plans for an official Linux version. Anyhow, we will evaluate additional platforms during Early Access. Especially when it comes to console versions.

I can only confirm Mac support for the full release.

As a hint, even though Linux is not officially supported, it seems that it does indeed run with Wine - according to this topic here: https://www.gog.com/forum/endzone_a_world_apart/works_with_wine

I'm not very familiar with Linux distributions, I'm only aware of the fact that there are a lot of them.

With that being said, I have to repeat myself: we don't support Linux officially.

Stay safe.
Thank you very much for your answer.
I wish you every success in your work!

(I’m on Linux, I’m not afraid of Viruses ;-)
Stay safe.

No worries, the "let me repeat" part came across a bit harsher than it was supposed to be. Just wanted to put the emphasis on the "not officially supported" part. Sorry. :-D
Don’t apologize, everyone’s fine, my friend
I’m not very familiar with "Wine"
thanks for everything:)

Haa what a pitty. Well, WINE is no option for me. So let us know if there will be any news for native Linux support on GOG =)

Gentlymad develops with Unity, but for Endzone I do not find.
If that’s the case, I think we’ll get our Native version.
All their games have a Linux version.
When you already know how to do...
The winds are less than on Wind... but very profitable.
Hi all!

Some users have reported to us, that the game is also running under Proton :)

Proton is just WINE with sugar? Proton just confirms companys not to develop linux games, is always exclusive for specific games and requires continiously testing. There are many fun native Linux games here so I support those with my money, not Windows games.

No offense Thanks for being here. =)

This is very good news, sella means that a port on Linux can be easy, and confirms that you have done good quality work with the right tools!
Just like your other games.
Personally, I would rather rebuild the world after an apocalypse than sell pizza;-) sorry.
Thank you for communicating here, the attention you brought us with Linux touches me enormously.
I had a big smile when I saw another answer:-)
Thank you!

And here's yet another one! :-D Endzone is made with Unity as well, just to answer one of your previous questions.

Happy Easter everyone.

Ubuntu’s support is sufficient.
Yes, there are many Linux distributions, but Linux is the kernel.
By choosing Unity and using compatible Apis, you have achieved the most difficult.

If an official version arrives for Ubuntu, then all TUX can play it.
We are fortunate to have a user on GOG, who is doing this distribution accessibility work.
The difference between the distribution is not the most important.
The important thing is the work you’ve already done.
And your work is once again clean, as always.
So if there’s anything new...

Hello, would you mind elaborating on the reasons, why you will support MacOS "out of the box" ?
Note, this isn't meant as a "why is there no Linux planned ?" question in disguise, I am just curious why MacOS seems to be a viable investment regarding resources, when (iirc) MacOS only makes 5% of steams user base (which is 3-4% more then Linux users, but still isn't very much).

Thanks

Can I respond with my personal opinion?

It’s because of a false belief.
The one who forgets that the Linux user often makes a Dual-Boot, for his favorite game.
Yet Linux users spend more in games.
And studies show that we outnumber Mac users, but sela remains hard to prove!
(Linux users have doubled in 2019, they have melted to less than 1% on Steam!)

This false belief causes a more numerous realization of Mac games!
For users who ask for less, see on GOG:
No demand for most games, +20 for Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 reunited.
The biggest votes "Indiana Jones" with +3219.
I don’t know much about Mac, but I appreciate the diversity. (I already voted for you: image)

But that was my personal opinion!
I would very much like to hear a developer on the subject.

The question remains on hold, I don’t have the answer, just this hypothesis.
