It's not that the game runs "slow" per say. The game looks fine and runs smoothly but when I play, my character and everything else is running in slow motion and I have played this game before on the original Xbox way back when and I know I shouldn't be jumping around like I'm watching a replay or something. Anyone having this issue? Any fixes? Thank you!

I have that problem, sort of. It will kinda randomly slow down and then speed back up. Unreal Tournament does that too. I just assume it's because my computer's crap, but if it's actually fixable, I'll be watching this thread with great interest.
I fixed it! haha prob should of tried this before even asking this question but I have the game to run in compatability mode (windows xp) as well as administrative mode. Game runs just like its supposed to now! I tried this today though and I installed the game so maybe just restarting the computer might help as well?

Been so long since I've played this I thought I was one of the only people that have ever heard of this game. Looks fantastic for such an old game :-O

I ran the game in administrator mode and in compatibility mode(Windows XP Service Pack 2) and the game still slowed down once in awhile. I think it is because of the speedstep technology in my laptop.

Yea idk I got the game to work with it at first but now when I start it, it does the same exact thing as it was doing before. It's a shame because this game looks very good for being so old and it's a great game I wish we could figure out the fix :-/
Hi,

When I installed and ran the game, it was behaving very "jerky". I tried to set affinity to just one CPU and that fixed the issue completely. Hope this helps someone. I have WinXP.

I have only played the first two levels so this may just seem to work, but for me going to the video settings and changing "sync to refresh" to off stopped the slowness. I tried the xp compatibility, running in administrative, and changing the game to only run with one cpu but none of those fixes seems to work (although the changing it to run with one CPU did seem to work the first time I did it, but only the first). So currently I have the sync turned off and I everything else is just running as normal (no compatibility mode). Oh, and I am playing the game on a 64bit version of Windows 7.
Have tried all of the above, and it still speeds up and down. At the level with the ship. Funny thing is, it never used to behave like this.
Somehow working now. Without any of the "fixes".
Not sure what fixed it. New Catalyst drivers or something else. Development computer, so lots of crap installed, that could be the culprit

:)

Hi everyone

I had the exact same problem on my Mac playing Enclave through Crossover. Here is what helpd me:
1) Turn off VSync in the game
2) install Apple's developer tools
3) Open Quartz Debug.app (Macintosh HD/Developer/Applications/Performance Tools/Quarz Debug.app)
4) There should be a window where you can set beam Sync to Disable

Now you can run the game. If it is still slow try lowering the resolution or whatever.
When you quit Quartz Debug.app Beam Sync will be re-enabled.

I found the Compatibilty mode and I have Windows XP. From the Mode drop down list, which Windows Version should I select?
