I am using a Ryzen 3600 and Radeon 6650XT, 16 GB of RAM, more than enough to run this old and fun game.

However I am getting low FPS, like 30 or less, and it crashes randomly after a couple of minutes of gameplay.

play with settings like directX and whatnot in the launcher/game, also try running as admin, that helped me for some reason as well

Reactivating the DirectPlay Legacy components on Win10 might be worth giving a try.
Solved a few issues with some other older titles like Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain or Incubation too, for my particular setup at least.

They're already enabled, did not help.

Unless somebody comes up with another potential solution you might just be out of luck with this particular title then, unfortunately.
For me it's the same with Blood II: The Chosen. Looked into and tried everything for the past 5 years or so, and still can't get it to run.

"Game is completely bugged like 23 years ago, I think it's a shame."

I mean I have gotten it to work on obscure older hardware, but it does not work with modern stuff.

I have the same problem and i run as admin the game.exe in the file and it works

Well, Zoom-Platform updated their version of the game and it runs flawlessly outside of some minor weirdness around the cursor.

Have you tried the new Empire of the Ants released Nov 2024?
