It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Anyone tried to run it?
I can't and the following message is appearing:
"Empire Earth: Art of Conquest requires a sound card and driver in order to run. No sound card has been detected."
Any solution? I am working on Windows XP SP 3 and the original game runs fine. This message is appearing only when trying to run the expansion.
Thanks!

It works fine for me. You might want to try to upgrade your sound drivers, reinstall the game, replace the files "Miles Sound System Mixer.dll" and "Mss32.dll" in the expansion directory by those of the original game directory.
Another idea is to delete the both intro movies or replace by empty files.
The error is documented twice on internet, but sadly once in an Arabian forum so I can't understand if it was resolved and the other time without a solution on a strange website.. I'm not sure if I have a sound card at all (might have onboard sound) but from your description that can't be the issue.
Seems AOC can't find your sound card, I have no idea why EE does then.
Thanks for the quick answer but nothing seems to work :-(

Well, you could try to download an inofficial patch from http://www.save-ee.com/portal.php since they patch some bugs. No guarantee it will work then, though. There doesn't seem to have been done any changes that would affect sound.
PS: Did you already try the compatibility modes?

Have you contacted GOG support?

This one did the trick for me!
When you first start, the sound may not work, but you can fix that by going to the audio settings and testing the sound.... :)
