Messing with the quality settings in the game menu does not help my Phonecians appear as anything but disembodied blue skirts, and the resources and buildings tend to disappear for most of the tutorial missions. Presumably this happens throughout the game.

Any fixes?

Could you show a screenshot?

Also did you try to redownload / reinstall the game?

I just tried to make a screenshot, but that shows even less than I see in-game. Still, it's attached.

Note the mini-map. I've tried, as suggested, to run in compatibility modes with all checkboxes checked. No luck. This game is unplayable, basically, with this problem. Worth every cent I spent on getting it for free.
