The game starts fine, intro movie runs fine, I can navigate through the menu fine, but when I start a game and after the game has loaded, the game stutters. It only happens when I move the cursor to do something: Move the screen, choose a unit, click on the trees, fish anything.
So, any ideas to fix this annoying problem? :)
EDIT: System Spec:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit
Graphincs: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT
CPU: Intel Core Duo E6650 (2.33 Ghz)
4GB RAM
Sound: Creative Extreme Audio
That's what I remember. :p

Could you please post your system specs and the OS your using?
Specs posted. Forgot to mention that. Sorry.
Are you using any specialist mouse drivers for whatever mouse you have? If so try disabling them and seeing if it runs ok then.
If not check your nvidia control panel and make sure you have everything set to let the application decide so your not forcing any effects the game may not like.
No special mouse drivers and the Nvidia Control Panel are set to default. I manage to reduce the stuttering by setting to compatibility mode to Windows 98/ME, though the stuttering are still there, at least this game are more or less playable.
I was having this problem as well. It went away when I disabled Hardware T&L in the display options.
Win 7 ult 64 bit.
Nvidia GTX 480
i7 x980
24 gig RAM
realtek motherboard audio

In the options screen make sure Vertical Sync is on and then switch between teh 2 direct3d options (the one without the hardwareTl works on my geforce9800 windows 7 but not the one with ti).
