Hey,

I've just got EE1, just like many other people here. I've noticed there are 2 .exe's to run: one for the normal game and one for the expansion.

Now, when I want to play a custom scenario with all available content, what should I run? Can I access the expansion pack's content from the normal .exe and can I access all normal content from the expansion .exe?

Thanks

Nope, only the expansion pack .exe has access to the expansion pack's units/epoch.
Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

But can I play the exact same content with the expansion pack as with the normal version? So I always have to start the expansion pack to get most content?

I know the campaigns aren't included, but I'm talking about custom scenario's here.

Yup.

I'd say you should always launch the Art of Conquest's .exe unless you want to run the original game's campaigns, which aren't in the expansion pack. Kinda like Age of Empires II.

One time I wanted to do the whole series of epochs, and I did actually manage to do so, except I had forgotten to load the AoC, so I had to stop one short, because it wasn't available.
Okay, thanks :)
