Please help noobie. I get windows error everytime I try to launch Empire Earth.
the problem just started recently. I had been playing the game for a month then suddenly started receiving this error.
I did a search online but could not come up with a fix.
I have the game running on Windows XP, 1gb ram, 64mb geforce video. It had been running perfect until a week ago.
Thanks for helping.

Did you update any drivers or did windows auto update something? you'll need to check that first and foremost. You can also try running under windows 98 compatibility; I've heard of limited success with that.
Did you by anychance change any hardware acceleration sliders to get other games to run inbetween the last time you played and now?
If you right click your desktop then go to properties --> settings tab --> advanced button --> troubleshoot tab. Then make sure hardware acceleration is set to full.
If this isn't it could you please post the error code.
Sorry don't recall error code. I uninstalled the game and redownloaded to see if that fixes the problem.
the only hardware I upgraded was my videocard. when I upgraded my video card the game was still playable with no errors. The error started happening after I formatted my hardrive and did a fresh install of the Game.
will update you when I re-install the game.

My solution to EE-AOC.exe was to do a fresh install of the game.
I have a feeling that eventhough these games are DRM free windows is still somehow managing to add some kind of license verification. I say that because I have a computer that has not passed windows genuine verification. I also had the game (Empire Earth) on a flash drive, I used the flash drive to transfer some music to another computer, I believe windows may have installed something when I did the music transfer. (I could be totally wrong but I highly believe that is what happened) Anyhow, I deleted the game from the flash and re-downloaded it to the same flash and everything seems to work normal so far.
That is/was my solution, can't say that this works for everyone.
