jamiehavok: i take it a copy of the spellbook for Elvira 1 is at least included as that was the games copy protection? Great to finally have this game on gog though. used to love it as a kid.
PraetorianWolfie: Both games currently on GOG come with a manual.pdf -- which you can access, after installing the game, from the folder where each game was installed.
For the first game this manual.pdf opens a scanned document titled "Instructions" and content-wise corresponds (but is not completely identical) to the "Horror Guide" from the above linked material by macrodeath.
The spellbook is not included. However, the manual does not mention the "enclosed magic lens (red acetate strip" used to read the spells. So probably this version of the game, which is now on GOG, skips that copy protection entirely.
For the second game, manual.pdf opens a document subtitled "Documentation for IBM PC and Amiga", which appears to be identical to the "elvira2-manual.pdf" linked above by macrodeath.
the manual linked does have a readable copy of the spell book at the back. its bad if gog doesn't include that thoufgh as its virtually impossible to guess the spells without it, making the game impossible.
