well, i certainly wasn't expecting that. go through the first dungeon and everything is fine until floor 3 where theres a powerful monster waiting. oh and said monster can kill a character in 1-hit regardless of remaining hp by chopping off they're heads.

wtf? it's the FIRST freaking dungeon of the game with a 1 out of 6 difficulty rating and then you find something like THAT in it? were the devs trolling or something? because, with the revive system, that ONE monster could easily put a full party in a VERY expensive and precarious position VERY easily.

You are not supposed to fight this monster on your first visit there and he isn't objective of 1st Quest. Such monsters are shown as red dots on map, which means - avoid these rooms like plague until you are at 20+ Lv.

As Sarisio said, you are not supposed to fight that enemy.

However, you will need to get used to it. The second dungeon you can actually explore has an enemy with a 5% behead chance, and the third one, if you leave the first floor (which you actually don't need to), has an enemy with a 27% behead chance.

If you have a Summoner Contract the enemy and then use Spirit Pact, the new party member will share that behead chance. This is a great way to get characters that allow *you* to behead *your* enemies; much easier than trying to create a Ninja (and some of those creatures are Ninjas with higher than usual behead chances).

Also, be glad that you aren't fighting level draining enemies...yet.

(By the way, Wizardry 1 had beheading enemies on the *second* floor, and you couldn't just reload your save if it happend in *that* game.)
