Is the mini map supposed to show stuff like roads etc, or just be a black circle with yellow, and purple dots showing where certain things are?

Because for me, just having the mini map being a featureless black disc renders it completely useless, as I have to keep referencing the big map to see where I actually am.

I was hoping the mini map would show the road I'm walking on, and any subsequent intersections in those roads.

Only the "radar" is available. There is no mini map in Elex.

I can live without it, but I had to ask to make sure there wasn't something wrong with mine

yeah...the thing is all but useless. the least they could have done was allow opacity settings on it, its super ugly.

i keep hitting M to see the true map.... but i rather like the radar as it helps see when or if im about to agroo some baddies... you can turn it off if you like.

hm got np with the cute mini radar... its such a tiny thing dont know why people make posts about that...
