Sometimes, at least half the time, the hacking function does not allow me to enter numbers while hacking. Or it will allow me to enter some numbers but not others.

Is the function bugged and/or does anyone have a solution to this?

Happens to me as well, but just roll with it and try different numbers. I think it's actually part of the hacking process, as I've never yet failed to hack a safe despite this.

Duh. Operator error. The numbers are practically given to you! The symbols between the numbers indicate that the following number is higher, lower, or equal to the current number entered. It won't let you enter a number that doesn't fit in that way. Once you understand that, it's a snap.
