Well, the first 2 hours work totally fine. But now the game crashes all the time (yesterday) and I gave up for the day.
Well, today I started my save and ... well it crashed imidiatly after seconds. I created a new quicksave and the seconds I needed to create that, the game crashes after only 2 seconds when loading the new savegame.
so I used an older save-state. That worked quite well, for 30 minutes. After that all savegames again Crash at the exact same playtime.
And I can again reproduce the problem, run to the next person and ... crash. Start Elex again, run to another person, ... crash but always after the exact same time elapsed.

There is something really fishy going on in this game and I really liked it but can't play because it always crashs.

PC:
Windows 10 (yesterday it was the 17/3 update, today it is the 17/9 update)
8GB DDR3 Ram 2133 (I even downclocked it to 1600 but with no result)
Intel Core i5 3570k (all on automatik, no overclocking on my side)
Radeon RX570 (default clocks, latest driver and today the new beta-driver for the new windows version)
Creative x-fi TItanium
All my crashing was from Afterburnner and GeForce Experiance.

it was fine after the first 2-3 hours fo play then today crashing after intro videos... disabled experience and then BAM works like a charm :( sucks because I would love to take pics and stream this.. oh well :/

I tried Afterburner but that failed on me too, steam overlay as well but the GOG one works great for screenshots so there is that!
Deinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and 2012 worked for me (no reinstallation required as far as i can tell) .
the game messed one off these up during installation, dont know if it was just my installation or standard bug.
I now uninstalled my Visual Studio 2013 & 2015 installations. But stll crashing.
But with a minor difference. There is no longer a Message-Window that tells me something about a dump and a dump log.

Seems to be something driver and memory related (or elex makes something wrong). If I reduce details to a minimum it still crashes, but runs a quite a while longer.

Already tried that, but didn't work. I tried it now 3 times and always after 3-4 hours of playtime (for the savegame) the crashes occure again and again.

You have a file goggame-galaxyFileList.ini in the game directory, that lists the required DX files. They are

DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 x86
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 x64
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x86
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x64

Reinstall or repair. Then check your Windows Event viewer log if you crash again - it will tell you the error.

If C++ would be missing the game wouldnt even launch.

Reinstalled the whole thing including those extensiosn.
Nothing. Still crashing. Also the todays Patch (which seems to be the patch-level of the steam version) did not fix the issue.
Tons of people are reporting that 1.1 patch is fixing crashing issues, i can confirm on my threadripper system it fixed it.... and also on my integrated intel/nvidia system it plays too!

no more VC++ crap, no more disabling overlays <3

I've got Win10x64 and > 350 games (yes, three hundred and 50+) installed, from the most recent games to 30 year-old-games, from GOG and Steam--and every single one of them runs without a problem. I would suggest, however, that anyone moving to Win10 start with the recently released Fall Creator's update--version 1709. Stable as a rock. I had Win7x64 for years and liked it fine at the time--but Win10x64 just blows it away...;) While what you heard was to some degree true a year ago--it simply no longer is. Win10 is where you should be today if you like gaming, imo.
I restartet the whole game now and it seems that did the trick (maybe in combination with the new update). But I really hope this bug does not occure again.
