Arena and Daggerfall have been removed from my library. I had Arena installed through GOG Galaxy and been playing it, now it's gone from Galaxy, it is still on my HDD though. Are you just randomly removing games from peoples libraries, CDP? Alkong with all the progress and cloud saves I had? It really discourages me from making any purchases here in the future...

well, you can still re-add them, dunno if the saves will work tough

That's not the point of my post. I can download it outside of GoG as both are freeware.

My post is questioning the trustworthiness of the GoG as video game digital distribution service as they remove the game from my account which I have installed and am playing it. Doesn't matter it was free game (and it wasn't at the time I obtained it as adding it to the library was conditioned by buying another commercial game from Bethesda back then). If they do it with this game, where is my guarantee they won't do the same with rest of my library anytime?

This was pathetic move and I'm not buying anything on this paltform anymore unless it will be explained.
My GOG account still shows Arena and Daggerfall. But I don't use Galaxy. To me, your conclusion that GOG removes games randomly from your account list appears to be a bit premature.

Three questions indicating a course of action you might take:
- Did you consider that it might not be an act of deliberate sabotage of GOG against you or your GOG account but human error or a technical defect (be it on GOG's or your side)?
- Did you check your GOG game list on the GOG site (user -> games)?
- Did you consider reporting the issue to GOG Support directly?

PS: I understand frustration. But things are not always what they appear to be at first sight. A few weeks ago my internet connection at home had disappeared. I checked my PC and router for local problems, didn't find any, and eventually called my internet provider, who said they couldn't see my router and my PC, and that I should check all cables. I thought I had done this already, but did it again, to be on the safe side. And, surprise, I did find a lose cable, covered by a lid, which appeared to be plugged in, but actually wasn't properly. I plugged it in, internet worked again.
Strange, I would have sworn that they came packaged with other games when you bought them but when I checked they were no longer in my library.

I was able to go to the store page and add them both back as they are both free.
I am also surprised to see they were removed. I am very confident that they were in my library as well, once upon a time. This is not confidence building, I understand the point honDziq is addressing.
Free id mix up game, gets removed and added to free on the store so you can redeem it like that.
Don't think that happens with bought games who have a legit copy bought on gog.
Sometimes the id of games might be changed thinks about fallout 1 and 2 which i don't own here.
The people who bought the old version think they still own them but it doesn't show up on the store as owned since it's a differend id, so they still own the old version.

I received Fallout (now Classic) and Fallout 2 (now Classic) free when they were originally removed from GOG.
I just checked, I still have them in my library.

Me too. But I don't think you received them "free". When they were removed from GOG sale, they simply stayed in your account. When Fallout returned to the GOG portfolio, they renamed the games which had remained in the accounts to "Classic".
There might be future issues when GOG maintains / patches the Fallout games, but possibly ignores the "Classic" versions.

By the way: I just noticed that Arena and Daggerfall have disappeared from my GOG account, too - they were there definitely until yesterday!
It's not a big deal - I simply re-claimed them, no damage done. But I'll remember that GOG didn't bother to inform me (not to mention that they didn't bother to find a customer-friendly solution for their supposedly bureaucratic or administrative problems which didn't require all their Arena and Daggerfall customers to re-aquire these two products).

This happened with me as well. Had to add them both back. Why? This has happened in the past with Baldur's Gate series as well when the Enhanced versions came out. Can we at least be notified at a minimum? I don't understand why they would be removed...
Happen to me as well. Did not realised until I read this post.

Added back manually.
Same here. I don't use Galaxy so I have the older versions downloaded & saved on external storage. Was looking through my online library and notice both games no longer listed. Went to the game pages and neither showed "owned". Added them back into my library for free so no foul there. Very disconcerting behavior on GOG's part, though.
Same here. Could be related to the fact that Bathesda recently made outdated Arena and Daggerfall builds available for free on Steam and a bit later bumped them up to GoG level. Also GoG versions of Arena and Dagger previously were given for free to anyone who bought any other TES game. Now they just given for free.
I was keeping an eye on the games in my library, and it also happened to me, several weeks after it happened to others. Easy to fix, but unusual nonetheless.
They're still in my library. What kind of abuse are you people hurling at them to make them run away?
