So for some reason, I'd like to try and play Red Guard. I am aware its not 1998, but I just am willing ot give it a chance. However, Right of f the bad is there no way to skip dialogue. Do I seriously have to listen to every single spoke word every single character says? Please tell me there's a key to press. Its hard enough to get into something this retro, but this could be a deal breaker.

Several reasons.
-The voice acting is not so awe inspiring that it can't be missed, and I can read much faster than the speak. Secondly, If I make a mistake and re-click a subject. I have to sit for 30-45 seconds without recourse? Every Adventure game since KQ1 in the 80s has allowed you to control the dialogue. Are you saying there is not a way.

Fair enough on the voice acting. For the most part it's not great and in some places downright awful (although I find Mariah's voice hilarious). Personally it didn't bother me too much (and certainly not as much as the ridiculously clunky movement and camera), in part because the writing and the story is so engaging.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to skip dialogue because, like I said before, I'm pretty sure there is as I remember skipping a few lines. But when I looked it up I came across some retrospective that said you couldn't skip the dialogue, so perhaps I am mistaken. So it looks like you might be out of luck.

Although I encourage you to try to give it a chance, if you are not that far into it. It's a fantastic story and Cyrus is the man. If not, I think you're missing out on some really good stuff (although admittedly mixed along with some bad), but obviously it's your choice.
