Hi.
I can't start Oblivion. It says: C:\GOG Games\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\obse_jail_fix.dll application.exe is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. And it shows another window with obse_training_fix.dll too.
What can it be wrong?
If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.
The two dll's are mentioned in the thread https://www.gog.com/forum/elder_scrolls_series/troubleshoot_my_modlist/page1. Both were added by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch (according to this thread). Perhaps it helps to uninstall the UOP?
But very likely the problem has to do with conflicting mods or with the load order of your mods.

First, thank you very much for your help, sir Greywolf.
I'm sorry: it was the Oblivion Mod Manager. It's because I spended my whole sunday on this and, finally - today - I got to make Oblivion work: I'm using Wrye Bash now.
Man, this is complicated, lol!

Have fun!
After a while, you'll probably notice that it's not so complicated. In most cases, one of two things goes wrong:
- The more mods you're installing and using, the higher the risk that two or more of them are incompatible, resulting in all sorts of issues. The only solution is to identify the "culprits" and to decide which to keep and which to remove (with that said: removing may be difficult in a few cases).
- The load order is wrong (looks like this happened to you). Wrye Bash, or tools like LOOT / BOSS can help you there.

I myself use as few mods as possible, and I try to avoid mods having similar functionality. If necessary, I create two parallel Oblivion installations for different mod sets (easy to do: simply copy Oblivion to another folder and rename it appropriately).

And I'm using BOSS too.
Many thanks, Greywolf-san: everyday learning something new, hehe!
