I noticed the file versions are the same number before the update !

That's bonkers... Though I'm noticing in Galaxy the offline installers are listed as 1.6.659.0.8 now...

Honestly, between this and the decidedly older games in my library that have been marked as updated on the site (like Middle Earth: Shadow of War and Broforce), I'd like to at least know if it was worth all the trouble of updating every single damn time.

Especially the big games like Skyrim and Middle Earth...

EDIT: That's the same version number as release, apparently. WTF is going on with the update feature on this site? Have I been re-downloading the same versions of all these games all along?

In case you hadn't noticed, the in-library update notifications weren't working from sometime back in August or September up until this past week. After the GOG devs finally got them working again, they seem to have made some effort to retroactively flag games that had updates during the time when those notifications weren't working. Unless they've made changes that are only pertinent to how the games interact with Galaxy, that's probably why games that haven't had actual updates recently have the blue dots. (Though there does seem to be some bugginess regarding the blue dots staying gone for some of the retroactively marked games.)

Makes as much sense as anything else. Going from no updated installers for month to 11 all at once was a bit of a surprise, yes.
