Trying to play Daggerfall, but the controls are confusing and awkward for me to even play it. It's even worse without proper controller support. Does ANYONE have a keyboard control scheme that's easy for beginners like me? I can't even swing a sword to kill a dungeon rat to save my life.

This can aslo apply to Elder Scrolls Arena as well.

I think you should choose and set your own key bindings to better suit your needs, however you can also take a look at this video in order to get some tip.
