Larrius Varro wants me to get rid of some "bad people," and when I ask around Balmora, they say I should talk to the Thieves Guild.

At the Thieves' Guild, when I ask about "bad people," they all say "I don't know who you're talking about" regardless of how high their disposition is.

I know when I've done this quest before, the Thieves' Guild has been much more forthcoming about who the "bad people" are, but why won't they spill the beans now? Is my level (13) too high?

It's been a while but I think there is a topic with Varro about blood bath that gives more info on targets. I could be wrong. Make sure you cover every possible topic with him.

Yup. I did another experiment, loading a saved game from before I had taken the quest; the Thieves Guild identified the targets if I had talked to Larrius about a "bloodbath", and didn't if I hadn't.

Thanks for your help. I guess I must not have exhausted my conversation options with Larrius the first time.

Hello, I'm playing Morrowind for the very first time and I'm having trouble with this same quest.
I've spoken to Larrius, and then to "Sugar Lips" who told me who the "bad people" are and where they can be found. Yet, when I come back to Larrius the quest does not appear to be completed; it seems like I'm not able to pass the information to Larrius. Am I missing something?

You made a "bloodbath"?
The best option is use Taunt to avoid problems with law.
