Hi
When you enter into a dialogue with the mud crab merchant you see that he is loaded with weapons and such. Would anything negative happen within the game if you were to kill him of her? It seems possible that you could kill him, take all his stuff and sell them to vendors who like you for a lot of cash. Unless there is some kind of in game penalty.

The biggest penality is that you'll lose access to the merchant with the most cash on hand (without mods).

Why on Earth would anyone want to kill the mudcrab? Along with the scamp he is the best merchant in the game once folks have ran out of cash.
