I brought some repair tools but couldn't figure out how to use them? i am not sure if it is a vanilla item or perhaps part of one of the bundled mods in the GOG version? I do know there is a Repair kit mod on nexus, but i do not have this installed.

How do you use these? If i need a skill to do that i would of thought the game would of told me. I tried selecting use and then clicking on the repair kit and i also tried clicking on a weapon in the inventory to see if there was an option to repair.

*Update* This question has been solved by myself. Since you cannot mark your own post as the solution this will do

Which game?
I'd equip them. A skill might influence the chance of success.
Have you tried clicking "USE" and then clicking on a repair tool? What happens then?

Think it's daggerfall since he mentions bundled mods on gog.
Now i haven't played daggerfall in some time and can't remember if i used repair tools in that.
i only know morrowind that you need to put the repair tool on the character avatar but i guess tools in daggerfall is a little different maybe press use in inventory and then choose the repair tool.

Possibly. I just think people asking others for help should provide enough information making it possible for others to help them without solving guessing puzzles first and thus wasting their time (and motivation to help). What's clear or obvious for one person isn't clear or obvious for others. Mind-reading may work in movies, books or games, but rarely in real life.

In this case, I didn't know that a repair tools DFU mod exists, but I know repair tools exist in Morrowind, and I gave a quick hint. I'm glad that I didn't give detailed instructions how to use repair tools in Morrowind. Yes, the "bundled mods in the GOG version" do give a hint that it might not be about Morrowind. On the other hand, I don't know how GOG packages Morrowind, except that the two DLC's are included. Would these be considered "mods" by some people? Does the GOG version of Morrowind contain real mods, too (I think the official Bethesda mods might be included indeed)? I don't know.

Actually Morrowind includes all of the free DLC that was released after the game and the expansion packs were released. You do have to activate them in the launcher to have them included in the game.

Entertainers
Bitter Coast Sound
Area Effect Arrows
Master Index
LeFemm Armor
Adamantium Armor
Siege at Firemoth
Helm of Tohan

There is no Daggerfall-specific section -- just one forum for the entire Elder Scrolls series. That's how many (though by no means all) series have their forums set up on GOG. (Which is basically fine, by the way, since GOG has a fraction of the user base that Steam does, and activity for a single game often wouldn't be enough to keep a forum active.)

So you posted in the right place, you just failed to specify which game you were talking about. :)
I found the answer. I had installed Enchanted Compass mod a few days ago and this repair kit or for that. It wasn't until tonight that i found a compass in a shop and so i went to the mod page to see how to use it, did i recognize the repair kit icon art. Which it is called Compass Repair Kit. But ingame its just Repair Kit. So i thought i was suppose to be able to do a minor repair on a weapon or something.

If you want that function, there is the "Repair Tools" mod.
