I know where you get it but I have no idea how to install it. This first time around I made a mistake andsaved it to Microsoft Word. I am incredibly unfamiliar when it comes to modding games so break it down step-by-step on how to do this please.

There is no special procedure with MCP. Just unpack all files from the archive to your Morrowind directory and run Morrowind Code Patch.exe. It's all described in MCP Readme.txt file.

BTW - MCP is not "modding". It is a patcher (as the name says), that modifies original game executable file to get rid of bugs, add new functionalities and options.

That sounds like a pretty good description of what mods (short for modification[s]) do. ;D

Vast majority of modding is modifying of various game files (textures, meshes/models, sounds, scripts, etc.), but not the main executable. Obviously it can be done, I did it myself a couple of times (e.g. Arcanum, HoMM III), but it is rare and usually much more complicated (to know what to do, not the hex-editing itself) than modding.
