Further to my question if the morrowind code patch would run in Win10 64bit it generated a error MSVCR100.dill not found. Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you in advance.
The MSVCR100.dll is a runtime component for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, you can get it directly from Microsoft's site. I expect it's not included with MCP itself due to distribution rights.

32-bit version:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328

64-bit version:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523

If you're uncertain which version you need, you most likely use a 64bit OS, so try that version first. The linked pages have installation instructions.
Thank you for your advice WingedKagouti. I opened the site you recommened but there was no mention of MSVVR100.dll. The runtime component Microsoft Visual C++2010 stated that it was for operating sytems up to and icluding Win7 but no mention of Win10 so I was reluctant to download it.

Well the file is definitely part of C++2010, and yes it works with Win 10.
Well I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and am still getting the MSVCR100.dll not found. Has anybory any advice as to what I may try next.
You might try to search and download the file msvcr100.dll directly (it's available from several sites).
