why isn't daggerfall unity included with base daggerfall like tfix is included with thief

Regarding Daggerfall / DFU: Both are freeware - you can download and install both yourself. Whom do you expect to "include" DFU and DF? And why? And how (integrated, or two component package)? What happens when a new version of DFU is released? Whom do you expect to provide technical support? You yourself?

EDIT: Oops, accidental necro! I was browsing the TES board and didn't realize that there would be such an old thread on page 1 of the forum for such a popular game franchise lol
I would love to see Daggerfall Unity added to GOG, to be honest. OpenTTD is on GOG (and we need to get both OpenRCT2 and OpenLoco added as well), Deus Ex has Revision available here, etc. It'd be awesome to get more awareness of such an awesome project like DFU.
