I love these versions of the games, but there's a slight problem. The music is too loud, and I don't know how to adjust the volume. Can anyone help?

I've noticed this annoyance in other DOS games, not just in EWJ.

For example, for Redneck Rampage, I just plainly disabled the music, because it was way too loud and I couldn't hear my surroundings. There are other games that, fortunately, let you change the volume like Blood, but unfortunately, EJW isn't one of them.

I'm trying to find a solution too. The best thing I can think of is to actually burn a cd with the soundtrack of the game or mount it with a CD/DVD emulator program, like DaemonTools, so that you can control the volume directly from Windows. I haven't tried it myself, but it's the best thing I can think of.
This is really bothering me too. When I used to play, I don't even remember there being music at all. I don't want to hear the music, but I do want to hear the sound effects. I don't know how to run the sound setup so I don't know if that will have any controls to help.

you can use the mixer command to change the cd audio volume.

I'm not very familiarized with DosBox, but I'm quite interested to know, how do I do that?

you add something like mixer cdaudio 25:25 near the bottom of the configuration file (below the imgmount command)
