I am just interested if anybody knows why they included the soundtrack in the EARTH 2140 and EARTH 2150 packages, but not the EARTH 2160 package. I sort of doubt it's a licencing issue.
Good point. My original 2160 copy actually contained a second disk containing the soundtrack
Perhaps we should ask GOG directly.
Sounds like a plan :)
Asked them, but they aren't answering.
Oh well, you can get all the music from the music folder in your program files.

If that is the case, I am sure to buy it in the near future.

Ahah, buying it just for the music? I've been known to do stuff like that before. ;)
I t does have a pretty good soundtrack. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play the game because my graphics card doesn't support Hardware T&L.
I played the game before, loved the soundtrack, just like the 2150 soundtrack. In my opinion some of the best game soundtracks ever created. Sorry to hear that the game doesn't work for you though.
I extracted the soundtrack from the game a while back:

It's in .OGG format (Play it with VLC) because that's what they where in the game files and I didn't feel like figuring out how to convert them to MP3s. But on the up-side what would probably be a couple hundred megabytes in 320kbps is only about 50mb.

You mean the ingame music?
The music on the CD was different from the music in the game.

The games folder has all the ingame music and the music from the title screen and the credits. Along with the music that plays when you win or lose a game.

Yeah, I know. The CD got completely different music and a remix of the title song.

Oh cool. We should ask Gog if we can get that music sometime.
