I have managed to finish my project of making a comprehensive building tree of all the Eador Castle Quarters except for the Foreign Quarter.

I have removed the previously uploaded files, which have been replaced by a new file, located here: Eador Building Charts

There are three files inside the zip archive:

Non-military quarters, which contains everything other than the military quarter and the shops from trade quarter (size: A1 landscape)

Trade quarter, including all the shops and the buildings from other quarters required for the shops (size: A3 landscape)

Military quarter, including all buildings from other quarters directly required for the military quarter buildings (size: A2 landscape)
Nice work.
I think this would be helpful:
Russian gaming magazine once published article about eador, they made full building list.
Numbers on the images equal to ones in inner_build.var.

Thanks!

Those are pretty nice schematics too. :)

Unfortunately they don't do much for people like me who don't speak or read Russian. In that regard they might as well be hieroglyphics or written in the Thai alphabet. There was no comprehensive reference material in English, so I figured I was going to have to make them myself if I wanted them. Though editing those images if I had known about them might have worked.

In any case, I hope people enjoy the PDFs I made. I tried to make it show the as much of the entire schematic in one chart as possible and with the costs also shown. Unfortunately that does not make it very printer friendly. Removing the costs would probably allow the charts to be squeezed further, but not by that much, I think, unless the font is also reduced.
Well, you can make Foreign quarter list by using this:

Just copy names from inner_build.var, they have same number.
For example,
"1. Мастерские"

In inner_build.var
/1
Name: Workshop;

So, this must be "workshop".

"191. Эльфийский квартал"
/191
Name: Elven Quarter
"Elven Quarter"

For my taste these diagrams useless, game have nice "focus on this building" feature.
You only need to remember prerequisites for Marketplace and focus on it in campaign. (storehouse is a first priority thing imo)

To each his own. I hate having to dig into the game's innards and going into the source code to see what I need or to use multiple references. It also sometimes helps to plan ahead if you can see the big picture, especially with different games if you want to play a different sort of strategy or want to use different kinds of units. It's easy to overlook something in the build tree and the relationships of the buildings to each other are not always apparent. It depends on your visualization skills. I don't mostly have a problem with it, but I know many people who do or who prefer to have something convenient at hand.

I don't particularly fancy the "Plan building" feature in its current form. I'd be more amenable if there was a quick way to turn the planning off, but I haven't found that switch yet.

If and when I make a schematic of the foreign quarter, I'll probably do so out of MotBW when the next beta stage hits, because you can see all the buildings in the beta build when you start a random shard game.

In any case, thank you for the tips on how to delve into the game innards if it ever becomes necessary.
All these links are dead. don't bother.

Thanks. Edirr's links are broken. I'd like to take a look at those since they're in English.
