Hi everyone,

When I begin a new Campaign, with a previous player, I can't change the difficulty. I set it on competent, and when I begin the game, in the statistic, I'm a beginner. Could someone explain this to me please?

Another thing, I tried to start a campain with a new player, but as my old demon budy doesn't recognize me, I have to start over with the first map, which seems to be a tutorial map. Is there any way to skip this part?

Thanks

PS: Love this game.

by the way i'm on 1.05.2

1. You will choose final campaign difficulty before second shard. When you set difficulty in profile - you set initial difficulty for single player map.
2. Game will offer possibility to skip this part. But only if you already finished totorial on this profile. If you want to skip this ASAP - choose warrior hero, and press f10 each battle. if you die, you will be resurrected, attack again, f10.
Ok, thanks for your answers, it made this (almost) perfectly clear

almost because i finished one shard but i don't remember the game asking me to set the difficulty for the rest of the campaign...

but thanks again

I was given those options, and clicked "Skilled". My icon displays as "Skilled" in the Astral View/Campaign Mode. From the Astral Screen, I can click in the "back-arrow" button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen and change difficulty as well. However, even after maing sure that I'm set to "Skilled" both places, when I attack individual shards in the first scenario or two of my new campaign, I'm facing only Local Lords set to "Beginner".

In a similar thread that I started a few days ago (and now can't find for the life of me!), there was a reference made to one setting referring to the stats for the the non-player monsters (affects HP, Stamina, and other stats--I've seen reference to it in other posts) and an independent setting for how hard the AI opponents are.

Is that why, when I'm playing on "Skilled", I'm still facing "Beginner" opponents? And, as I get deeper into the Campaign, will I face more Skilled AI opponents? My general experience in my first campaign was that Oiinor was a pushover, Beleth was harder, and Tar-Gor (or whatever the Barbarian's name was) kicked my booty.

But I'm obviously still a bit confused here myself... :)
