Ok, I have beaten Dying Light on my own without cheating so many times that I can't count. I've also beaten this game on my own using cheats several times. I've used the public status and had my ass kicked many, many times by the "play as the zombie" users. No problem, I've won like 3 out of 10 experiences.

After all my experiences, winning without cheating, winning using cheats, having all the experiences I could possibly have, I like to play every now and then using cheats, just to occupy my time. Sometimes I leave my online status to public just for a little interaction but I still have cheats enacted.

The folks who join me, being an ally, don't seem to mind the cheats but, OMG, the ones playing as the night hunters are losing their minds. LOL, the night hunters have kicked my ass so many times, again, like 3 out of 10 I've legitimately won, it's ridiculous. But if you are going to encroach on my game as a night hunter, even though I'm allowing it, it's still my game, my rules. You don't like it, fine, but your nasty comments are not welcome.

I never go looking for co-op Dying Light adventures and I never play as the night hunter. However if I did find a random game and the owner of that game was cheating, I wouldn't have a problem with it because that is his/her game; his/her rules.

Must agree with the OP. Modding (or cheating) is the main stay of any single player game, many AAA games have their reputations built off the backs of community modders. Those who complain about modding in single player games share a mentality with others who believe disabled access should be removed from buildings or children banned from cafes.
Personally I don't care if it's this game or Wolf ET, games hosted using mods (with or without servers) still fall into the category. This is the reason we have (as an example) servers like the ARK Survival official and the ARK Survival unofficial.

Yeah ive cheated in single player games too and still do.. if you have played that long as me always getting on lv in all the new games is boring. aldo some games i have never cheated in because they rock without them. and yes ive played games where multiplayer was a side thing and yes some of the single player hacks/cheats workted in the co-op or tiny multiplayer servers you are the host of. so yeah your server your rules.. if you wanna cheat a little and the other dont like it and get cranky then get the fuck off lol... im from the old time of gaming where i even hackted my way into the msx metal gear solid where i killed the game after a time lol....

Those who complain about people who complain about modding in single player games share a mentality with people who kick puppies.

If people notice they don't have a chance because somebody's doing something, they'll just stop playing and move on to a different game. The more that happens, the less people you'll have to play with until you can't find many. That happens anyway as a game gets older, but it happens quicker when people get frustrated because they see they can't actually get more effective at winning because somebody is doing things to make themselves win regardless.
