Hi,

I can't save any key bindings and some other options (like subs). They reset to default.
Video and audio are stored fine. I can see the .scr files for them, but I can't find any config file for the rest.
I've tried some suggestions regarding the controlled folder access in Windows Security, but no luck.

Thanks

I believe those are stored in the .pro file inside the "profiles" folder.

I got two .pro files. One named with my Epic Games account, the other with my Windows account. They both get modified after the tweaks. I tried to lock em with "read only", but the settings still revert back to default.
It seems to be some kind of conflict between the two. Do you have two versions of the game (Epic and GOG)? Are you using GOG Galaxy? I have only one profile file with my Windows account name, using the GOG version from offline installers, and had no issue in 4 years. My suggestion is to backup all your save and profile files, then delete one of the .pro files (the Epic one, if you're using the GOG version). Then start the game directly from its .exe, not from any client, or shortcuts made by a game client.

I have only the Epic version and I don't use GOG Galaxy as a launcher. Dying Light is one of the few games that cannot be detected by GOG for some reason. I think the .exe is somehow different and flawed.

The problem is the Epic launcher itself (or the game version). To solve the problem I had to enable the offline mode on Epic, cut my internet connection, start the game, tweak my settings, close the game and re-enable my connection.
I still have two .pro files, but the Epic account name is replaced by the offline designation of my pc (desktop-blablabla). At least it works now!

I still can't bind some of the keys (buggy and hunter) in offline mode, maybe because you have to be online so the game can detect the DLCs. What a mess!

Thank you for your suggestions. Finally I can play without tweaking the options all the time!
