I've been trying to get Dusk running for a few hours now and doing some troubleshooting. With version 1.6, every time i try to start the game it's a black screen, no faux DOS like normal. I can hear the start menu music but all the visuals are replaced by a faded olive green color taking up the entire display. Even though I can't see them I can flip around between the various items in the menu, and the color will change from olive to black, then back again when I select something else. It seems to be affecting only the latest version though, as i had an offline backup of version 1.5 available and it works fine. The issue isn't exclusive to GoG either, as it seems to be affecting the Steam version as well, and it happens on multiple distros. The Windows versions of the latest build are unaffected and work fine. Is this something I'd need to contact the developers with, and if so, does anyone know the easiest way to do that?

EDIT: Reached out to other places as well, and they directed me to a solution:

#Launch game from terminal with this command

./DUSK.x86_64 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 -logfile logfile.txt

#Adjust resolution manually in-game. Game should now launch correctly. Initially sets resolution to 640x480, causing black screen

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for.
I'm new to Linux, currently running openSUSE Leap 15.2. When I run this command in the terminal

./DUSK.x86_64 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 -logfile logfile.txt

it returns "no such file or directory". I assume i'm making a rookie mistake but I'm not sure what it is. Thanks.

Hi Anglerbe,
When you open the Terminal, it opens where you are, you just opened it on the "Desktop" I guess.
This message indicates that there is not what you are looking for here.

So how do you do it?
In Graphic mode it's easier for a beginner, When you go to a folder, you make a right click of the mouse, open in the Terminal, and you just opened the Terminal in this folder.

Go to the DUSK folder, open the Terminal, and do the command.
Tell me if this solves your problem?

I'm not on openSUSE, but all distributions follow the same rules, and if you have other problems, you can contact me privately.
You'll see Linux is awesome Welcome among us ;-)

Thanks for the reply. The issue I was having was that I couldn't figure out how to set the directory to my GOG games folder because I didn't know you need to put the filepath in quotes when there's a space in the file name. Once I figured that out I got the fix to work.

So you like Linux?
openSUSE was my second choice, when I chose my distribution.
Mint to win with Cinamon, and a reputation more adapted to the beginner ;-)
