If you find the answer to your own question, please post it in the topic. Otherwise, you run into the problem of dead threads, which show up when people try to search the internet for an answer to the question. One of the most annoying things is to search for an answer to a question, only to find a topic asking the question that does not answer it.

Find a candle store in Vingaard Keep, enter it, buy a candle, DO -NOT- LEAVE THE WAY YOU CAME.
Follow through the red door on the other wall, and keep going ONLY through the red door, ignoring the voices trying to mislead you into picking another route. Eventually, the candle will reveal the hidden door to Sebas' hiding place.
(my mistake was, that I left the store after buying a candle, doing that resets the whole thing)

Played "correctly" (as in, following the plot), the game tells you how to find him (and that you need to find him in the first place), I just forgot how to, when needing to talk to him again.
