Cleric/red mage would fit well. You'll have access to level 7 spells quite early, neutral clerics level faster than good ones at high levels and you'll be happy about another mage in DQ.

Nice suggestion. What deity for the cleric? I can't seem to get a cleric of Majere/Red Mage due to alignment conflicts. Maybe I should I make a cleric of majere/white mage and make the single class mage a red mage or maybe even a fighter/red mage.

You need a neutral cleric to cast resurrection and restoration in DKoK. Sirrion or Shinare.

Silly me. I just went to windows and pdf'ed the rule book and got the word I needed went backed to still running game and entered word. ta da it worked. lol
