In my experimentation, I have still found a fair number of bugs in the second game. In particular, many of the magic created weapons don't function properly (Spiritual Hammer and I believe Rainbow, for example), and casting a healing spell (other than Heal/Water of Life) on someone with HP above her maximum will provide even more hit points.

Note that that healing bug *isn't* present in the first game.

Thanks, i was suprise thats second game have more bugs then first. So read relaese story and fate of SSI, so i know why :D
Personally, I was surprised that the healing bug appeared in the second game, especially since the first game didn't have it, despite having the abilities needed to trigger it. It seems someone must have messed with that section of the code and introduced the bug.

For reference, here is how it could be exploited:
Your party should have the following:
1 Half-Giant Fighter (Gladiator also works here). Get CON and HP as high as possible at character creation, and choose Psychometabolism as the discipline (for Lend Health). Note that this character has to be created in the second game; wild talents don't get Lend Health in the first game.
1 Druid (any Sphere) or Cleric of Water. At level 11, this gets you Heal (Druid) or Water of Life (Cleric, works exactly like Heal contrary to what the description would suggest. This character will need to be at least level 11. More characters of this sort will let you get even more HP.
1 character to receive the HP. This can be the priest, but it has to not be the same half-giant. For most dramatic results, I will assume this character is a Preserver with low HP, but that isn't required.

The way it works is as follows:
1. Cast Aid on the preserver. This will raise her HP above their normal maximum. (The bug only triggers when HP is above its normal maximum.)
2. Have the Half-Giant use Lend Health on the preserver. This will transfer all but 5 of the Half-Giant's HP, giving the preserver an enormous amount of HP.
3. Cast Heal or Water of Life on the Half-Giant.
4. Go back to step 2.
Repeat until out of Heal/Water of Life casts. Your Preserver should now have several hundered "temporary" HP, which last until lost, replaced (so don't cast Vampiric Touch), or your party rests (but then you can just do the trick again).

There's also weird little things you can do with the Reincarnate spell.

By the way, Wake of the Ravager actually has 8th and 9th level spells (accessible by cheating), but they are in various states of being functional. For example:

Meteor Swarm: Works well. You get to target each of the 4 meteors separately, meaning that this would actually be a rather nice spell if it were obtainable.

Time Stop: Prevents your turn from ever ending (though note that movement is never restored). This can either trivialize the battle or (if you run out of ranged attacks) softlock the game.

Prismatic Sphere: Crashes the game.

Ehehe lots of Funny Exploits :D

I really wish to have a New Dark sun game...But i m sure it will never :(
SO MANY BUGS!
(for reference COMaestro is tech my hubby, he bought this game here for me)

It has been a goal of mine to play this begining to end for over 20 years, back in the day I would get close and then it would crap out. So I was really looking forward to beating this.
I am almost to end game, collected all these magic things and right after getting the last one (fire ruby) and came back thru the tapestry, its like the game half reset. people, villians are all back, and there is no way for me to progress.
I can only hope I can use an old save and try again.
Let's be crystal clear since there are two games.

Shattered Lands: Very stable. Many small issues with dialogs and benign bugs, which aren't unusual for an RPG of this era. The only gamebreakers I recall involve the Final Battle not triggering, which isn't easy to do.

Wake of the Ravager: Mostly stable. Lots of small bugs, and several gamebreakers I can recall. I'm sure there are more, and that's why this game has a bad reputation. It's totally fair to rail on it, but understand that it CAN be completed without too much trouble. Both times I've completed it, my saving habits recovered from any real problems. But every playthrough will encounter some problems, so count on it.

This is where I am at currently. The final battle will not trigger. I end up outside but there is no action. I am trying to figure out how to fix this.

If you can, load a game where you can go back to the area just south of Teaquetzl. If Laussa was leaving the area but you teleported away, let her walk completely off-screen first.

The other way I messed it up was by striking the statue Wyrmias (on accident) but not killing him. He just walked away, and I figured I'd be ok... but nope.
