Hey guys. I've found a nice CIB copy of Dark Sun 2 (CD version) for 23 bucks in a local market. Do you think that's a good trade? I never played the series and after reading about so many complains towards bugs, crashes and other things... Well, I'm not the type of guy that buy terrible games just for collection.

Assuming that's Brazilian currency, Google says that would be about US$7. That seems a little high for such an old game, especially if you have no nostalgia. Still, I really like the Dark Sun games. They were a bit buggy, but they have an excellent blend of hack-and-slash tactical combat, role-playing, and world-building. One reason I'd stick with the GOG release is that an unpatched retail version will probably be even buggier than the GOG version. If I remember correctly, I eventually got the retail boxed version to play off the CD in dosbox, but it was a frustrating experience to get everything working properly. The GOG release is definitely a lot easier to deal with.

Sorry, I forgot to specify that the value I meant is in US dollars. Then it's impressively expensive, lol.

I always wanted to try the Dark Sun series, but as you said, I have no nostalgia for them like other games. I think I will pass the offer and maybe try the GOG release in the future. Thanks a lot!
