Hi,

I loved dungeon siege when i was younger and would like to play through again with all the recommended mods / patches / upgrades available.

So what is the best way for me to play DS1 now? I dont have any DLCs, just the version from GoG.

I've read a few threads about expansions and others about the legendary mod.

Can someone advise please?

Thanks

Do a Google search for siege dot org (don't recall the exact name), but you'll find a ton of mods and all easy to install.

There are:
- XP ring mods (x10, x100, x1000, etc)
- Inventory mod
and more

Most are just unzip and copy to the .dsres file /Resource folder within the main installed game folder.

(If I recall the exact name I'll let you know. moddb site is also another one)

.
So I did a little digging and I found a texture mod and a seefar mod at the moddb site.

Texture mod:
- improves most of the texture in the game so areas, objects, etc. look clearer and sharper.
- on the DS1 site page, I think you can find the mod under the "files" tab

Seefar2020 mod:
- this mod lets you adjust the camera distance and a few other adjustments
- if I recall correctly, there will be a few file versions in the zip file; read the readme file and choose one
- on the DS1 site page, I think you can find the mod under the "add-ons" tab
.
I use two mods

BufUI: "The BufUI Mod adds a panel to the GUI that shows the selected character's active buffs, their count and their corresponding expiration times."

Try https://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node/5122

Gold: "Increases the party gold value limit" (Raises the ceiling from 10 million, which I will easily hit before the end of the game (the regular Ehb map) when I go everywhere, kill everything and collect all treasure, to 100 million.)

Try http://ds.gemsite.org//web/index.php/mods/GET/detail-165

For maps at veteran level a 100 million ceiling may still not be enough, in which case resort to Zhixalom's Inventory mod.
