I am wondering how to get this working with 3D accelerated graphics. The directory I installed this to contains a utility entitled Graphic Mode Setup which looks as though it contains the necessary options. However, whenever I select the graphic mode and click on the "Save Settings" button it comes up with "Error: Game Not Installed".

Any suggestions?

It looks like you're trying to launch the executable directly from the folder. Please make sure that you launch it from the game's Start Menu group.
I'm also wondering if it's possible to enable 3d acceleration for Dungeon Keeper. I know it was possible in the Gold version of the game and was wondering if the GOG version has the possibility to enable Direct 3d acceleration?
Changing the graphic mode to Direct 3d or OpenGL through Dosbox doesn't seem to make the game visually any different from normal.
Right now the version GOG distributes is the DOS version, so no 3d accelerated graphics unfortunatly. Using the supereagle or super2xsai scalling engine improved the visuals a little, but it's still a far cry from the Win95 D3D version.
Any idea if they are going to release the win95 exe?

You can grab it from the update (and get the files using WinRAR, which is able to extract the files without running the setup)... you still need the Smacker DLL and the sound system though... I'll think I'll just upload the files.

However I haven't been able to get any version to work directly under Windows 7, so the question is what good the Win95 binaries will do you...

Here's a self-extracting 7z with

DisableNonLocalVideoMem.reg
EnableNonLocalVideoMem.reg
deepd3d.exe
deeper95.exe
keepd3d.exe
keeper95.exe
Mss32.dll
MSVCRTD.DLL
SMACKW32.DLL
WSND7R.DLL

Should be everything that's needed, but it will very likely only work under true Windows 9x :
http://www.tapper-ware.net/files/dk95.exe

P.S... don't forget to update the CFG file to the games real path.

It starts but it can't find the CD.

Thanks for the speedy response. I also didn't realise until looking elsewhere that it's Alt+R to go to high resolution.
Has anyone tried running the windows version with a windows 95 emulator? Like VMWare Workstation?

I converted the GOG-included BIN/CUE pair back into an ISO and mounted it with CloneDrive... but I can't verify if that actually works, since the games won't launch anyway...
Will GOG support the native windows executable version in the future? I would like to buy this game but there's no sense for me if the only way to run it is by DOSBox. Also some additional content would be grate :). For now it's a bare bones release from my perspective.

I've actually found that using hq2x (or hq3x for games like MoO2) has it look much better then either of the above options. But I'm sure that your mileage may vary...

I tried the hq2x with Dungeon Keeper but didn't like the results. Made the text too hard to read. Started using KeeperFX anyway, looks great and runs great.

I had your problem, and I figured it out a minute ago. Here's a link to my post with my instructions.
