Please, do not let the fact that GOG is missing Deeper Dungeons prevent you from buying this little gem.
I played Dungeon Keeper for the first time last year. It was a great game, it's build, explore, expand, train your army, and crush your enemies before your enemies and your army crush you. It was not super challenging, but it was fun nonetheless.
Deeper Dungeons on the other hand was... not so good. I don't know if Deeper Dungeons was an attempt to fix the game difficulty or merely a way to keep you playing until they released Dungeon Keeper 2, but the expansion simply doesn't play like the original played. They did make the AI smarter, but during most missions you are limited to a mere dozen of units, while your opponents are not, and your dungeon is almost always surrounded by caves with ultra strong heroes, making save scumming a necessity whenever it's time to expand your dungeon.
Whereas Dungeon Keeper valued speed and exploration, you had to be quick to claim gold, portals and special rooms before the opponents did and crush them before they got too strong, Deeper Dungeons values turtling and micromanagement because the only way to beat an opponent that outnumbers you five to one is to stay in your hole and train a squad of Horned Reapers (yes, That Unit that requires its own private quarters because it goes berserk and kills everyone whenever he gets bored or see another Reaper.)
Every tastes are in the nature of course, but personally, the fast paced gameplay that I loved in Dungeon Keeper was entirely missing from Deeper Dungeons, and after four missions, which took me almost as long as it took me to finish the main campaign, I was done with it.
Buy this game, play this game, replay this game, but don't shed a tear for the lack of Deeper Dungeons, it's not worth it. It also adds no new units or features so it's not a big loss.
