Hello everyone,

I am trying the latest version of dungeon keeper 2 which I purchased ages ago working since I heard it was made a lot more stable and even made to work in windows 8. When I run the game It gets past the intro but crashes in the main menu.

Does anyone have any ideas to get the game running?

System is an i5 2500k using an onboard video card.

I'm getting crashes on 8.1 when I click "My Pet Dungeon" in the main menu.

I'm running Windows 8.1 with up-to-date video drivers, DirectX, etc. After the game launches (whether or not I run as administrator), it goes to the menu just fine.

Whenever I click a menu option, such as Single Player or Options, the game crashes.

Please help!

I got it running flawlessly on Windows 8.1 (i7 CPU, Nvidia 750M, latest drivers)

I used the following compatibility settings:

Windows 95
640x480 screen resolution
Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
Run as administrator

I tried running without each of the settings in turn, but it would crash on main menu unless all the listed settings were ticked.

Hope this works for you as well
