I distinctly remember post-missions descriptions of all the bad thongs happening to the towns you conquered and how their inhabitants suffer etc. I can't get them to play in the GOG version, is this a question of settings or are they not present in this edition?

I have them in my GOG version.

Never mind, found them. They're on the mission score screen and not on the overland map as I thought.
