Hi,
What do you mean ?
When you try do download it from your account page or when you try to open it after having downloaded the manual ?
You should download it (Save) from your account page and the open it on your pc.

That is weird.
I don't have any of the duke games, so i can't go into my account page and confirm if there's a problem with the file, someone who has the game will have to do that for you. (you should probably post again mentioning which duke game it is)
You can also contact support.
I hope you get the problem solved soon.
Edit: You do have software capable of handling .zip and .pdf files installed, right ?

There's nothing wrong with the Manhattan Project manual anyway. I got it the other week. The zip file saved fine and I can open the pdf file from within it.

Is the manual a PDF?
Try to download

see if that allows you to open the manual

if you installed adobe reader for the first time nd never used it before it will popup the EULA on first run and you have to accept in order to use it the apogee manuals are in pdf format.
you can use foxit reader also to read pdf files
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxit_Reader
but i would stick with adobe due to it's better support of pdf files.

okay well thanx for your support but i located my laptop repair guy and he said it might b because im running windows 7 ultimate

I don't see why running Windows 7 (any flavour of it) would stop you from opening a PDF file. I've opened PDF files on Win7 RC1 Enterprise Edition, works fine. That was with Adobe Reader 9.

Also it can't actually do any harm to your computer if you download and try adobe reader.

i do got that adobe s.o.b but i had to turn to basic to run the manual but now i cant run dos on any (platform) if you will/ any way its duke nuken 3d sorry for not clearing that up before

You shouldn't have to change your Win7 flavour from Ultimate to basic to be able to open a PDF file. And there is no DOS in Windows any more. There was no DOS in XP, no DOS in Vista and there is no DOS in Win7. There is a command prompt but no full DOS.
The GOG installers come with DOSBox for games which ran in DOS. DOSBox is an emulator for DOS. All you should need to do to play is run the executable that got installed with the GOG version of Duke Nukem 3D.
You are either going to have to give us screenshots and error messages to show us what you are doing and why you can't open the manual/game or the only advice we can give is to raise a support ticket with GOG support.
