Sadly the news isn't posted here, but I was interested to see the Driftland devs are working on free add-on material which adds a new nation to the game. Impressively, they plan to include Steam/GOG crossplay in the update. It's always great to see devs genuinely supporting their GOG version instead of just catering to the majority platform. Current ETA is June (although that was set pre-COVID shutdowns, so who knows...).

Nomads announcement here
Funny you would say that. [s]The independent game Nomads of Driftland is apparently Steam exclusive (although free) and it's not going to be appearing here on GOG, which is a shame, for it prevents me from buying it anywhere.] The independent game Nomads of Driftland is apparently Steam exclusive (although free) and it's not going to be appearing here on GOG, which is a shame, for it prevents me from buying it anywhere.[/s]

EDIT: The devs explained better how that is going to work. Everything in Nomads of Drifland will be in Driftland: The Magic Revival - both in Steam and GOG (minus Steam Workshop, of course), so GOG loyalist are not actually losing content by remaining a GOG loyalist.

So I'll buy the game asap.

Still confused, any source for this information?

If you want a confirmation that Nomads are on GOG version, yes, they are.

Mods, can you pin this topic? There's no explanation of this anywhere. While you're at it, you might want to see to it that the demo versions are listed as demo versions and etc. All of these games aren't listed in the same family, either.

In fact, the 'free game' category is getting to be a convoluted mess, with gobs of DLC being listed in there, about four pages of demo and prologue games, with perhaps ten games being the only real free offerings.
This is a better explanation for the ones that still are without clues:

Driftland: The Magic Revival - Is the MAIN/FULL game, it has 4 main campaigns with a story, and, as a bonus contains already the maps included in Nomads of Driftland. It doesn't and can't include the maps present in the DLC Nomads of Driftlands: The Forgotten Passage.

Nomads of Driftland (that is FREE) - Is a standalone game that only contains a collection of maps, the same maps also present in Driftland: The Magic Revival. It doesn't contain a campaign or a full game, it's just a collection of maps.

Nomads of Driftland: The Forgotten Passage (DLC) - Is still just a collection of maps, so no campaign. The maps contained in this DLC are not present in Driftland: The Magic Revival, and can be added only to Nomads of Driftland. These additional maps can't be added to the main game.

Nomads of Driftland was released as a standalone game for 2 main reasons, first because it was a prototype of a different gameplay from the main game (but never became a full game), and second because releasing it for free they could use these maps as a kind of DEMO and Advertise the main game.
They made the DLC with more maps because they received approvation for this kind of gameplay.

Well, that's what makes it a complete mess.. there's also a free demo version of the main game as well.

I thought I saw another DLC as well, but the mess already had me confused, so maybe not.

You are right, I missed that there was a demo for the main game too.
But (as of now) there is only one DLC, and it's for Nomads of Driftland.

So to simplify all, if someone wants everything he needs these:
1) Driftland: The Magic Revival
2) Nomads of Driftland(FREE) + Nomads of Driftland: The Forgotten Passage (DLC)
