I notice this game using gog.com new DOSBox configurator. Where can i find the detailed manual about this new DOSBox configurator?
And what about the older DOSBox games? Is Gog.com will implement the new configurator in the future for older games that use DOSBox as new installer?
If the past is anything to go by, GOG just uses the latest version of DOSbox available at release and if it works, leaves it alone. Certainly, I don't recall them ever doing a mass update of their DOSbox powered games.
thank you for reply. I found it the Dragonsphere new configurator is very convinient. Don't need to enter the conf. file using notepad anymore.

I hope they re-release Pinball Gold Pack with the new settings and using this new configurator because that game is a bit mess. Fiddle with the graphic setting with incorrect value, you'll get screen tearing and glitch everywhere.

I've heard you can just copy and paste the new configurator into all your GOG DOSBox games directories and it'll work.

Thank you, trying it now.
How does this work when you already have DOSbox previously installed? I have DOSbox 0.7.4 installed, but whenever I try to install Dragosphere, TeenAgent, or Tyrian 2000, the installation button is grayed out. How do I get these games installed without having to install multiple copies of DOSbox?

You must tick the DOSbox regardless.
But it won't overwrite your previous DOSbox configuration, because each different game will have DOSbox installed in their own folder.

Actually, that's not true, the installer specifically allows you to use an existing DOSBox install instead of the default GOG one, as AdmiralMemo is trying to do.

Are you certain that install path for your copy of DOSBox is correct?

I don't know. Mine won't allow me when even i specified the path to DOSBox folder that was installed with my previous DOSBox powered game like RoA. Maybe i got some thing wrong.

If you are trying to point it at another GOG installed DOSBox, no it won't work, but if you have a standalone installation of DOSBox (which AdmiralMemo appears to have), it should work fine.

It's been a while since I investigated this but IIRC the installer doesn't recognise newer versions of DOSBox than the one in the installer.
So if the game comes with 0.73 you need to point it to a 0.73 install

I haven't tried it (I'm a big fan of sourceports and the like) but if you install DOSBox 0.73 you should be able to make all GOG games that use 0.73 to share that one.

Edit: Just did a quick test and Battle Chess SE comes with DOSBox 0.72 and only recognises a 0.72 install. So possibly the best thing to do would be to install DOSBox 0.72, 0.73 and 0.74 and point each game to the appropriate one

Yeah, i remember unpacking the installer using certain tool.. but i can't remember the name of tools. There are certain lines in maybe the .ini file, that only recognize the same version of dosbox that shipped with the game. But that tools only able to to unpack and view the installer, it doesn't allow to pack the files into installer.
